Lovin' Lavender

Many people love and recognize the beautiful calming aroma of Lavender. Its versatile properties make it an oil that must be kept in every household.

Lavender comes from the flower part of the plant and has a distinctive light floral scent. This essential oil can be used topically, aromatically, and internally.

During the summer, this oil is always in my purse. It soothes bug bites and sunburns. It is a natural way to soothe itchy or irritated skin. In addition to sunburns, I use it when I burn myself cooking which tends to be often. A drop or two on the minor burn will take away the sting. No need to run the burn under cold water for an hour.

Sleeping issue? This oil is a powerhouse because of its calming and peaceful effects. Inhaling lavender from cupped hands can support you when you are feeling anxious or relax you before bed. A great tip is to place a few drops on your pillow before bed. Doing this promotes a restful night’s sleep.

Allergy troubles? Combine lavender with lemon and peppermint in a veggie capsule. Together, they make a great natural allergy remedy.

There are many other uses for lavender like supporting migraines, high blood pressure, nosebleeds, teeth grinding, and more. Not convinced? I’d love to send you a sample so that you may experience the power of doTERRA’s lavender essential oil. Email me at fallingforoils@gmail.com
